There is a distinct difference between hiring and recruiting. It is important that we distinguish between the two if we are going to be successful in winning the war on talent. What is hiring? PS Companies initiated the combination discussions between our two firms. We were looking for a strategic transaction with another law firm whose attorneys had similar values to the values of our group, and PS Companies suggested a complimentary firm who would be a good fit. PS Companies worked with the lawyers in both firms to facilitate meetings and provide background information to each of the respective firms.
The combination turned out to be a success. PS Companies led the charge in facilitating that combination and continues to regularly communicate with the attorneys involved in the transaction.
